Bismarck, ND — In the spirit of innovation and servant-leadership, the University of Mary, Americas Leadership University, proudly honors North Dakota entrepreneurs for their faithfulness to those values cherished at the University of Mary. Through hard work, determination, creativity and resourcefulness, these individuals have established new ventures or led existing ones into renewed growth to the benefit of their communities, state, region and nation.

Americas Leadership University and its new Gary Tharaldson School of Business and Technology proudly presented the 2009 Leader in Entrepreneurship Award to David Goodin Thursday, October 23, 2009, in the Harold Schafer Leadership Center. Prior to that presentation Goodin gave a keynote address to students of the Schafer Emerging Leaders Academy in the Tharaldson School of Business.

In May of 2008, MDU Resources named Goodin CEO of its utility
businesses: Montana-Dakota Utilities Co.; Great Plains Natural Gas Co; and Cascade Natural Gas Corp; and president and CEO of Intermountain Gas Company effective Oct. 1, 2008. Goodin joined Montana-Dakota Utilities in 1983 as an electrical engineer.

Forbes ranks MDU Resources as one of 400 Best Big Companies, and most recently, named for the seventh straight year to the magazines Global 2000 —receiving its highest ranking to date at 1,476.
