WOW!!! im makeing a guitar right now but iv got another one in line the one in line is going to be a les paul with a marantie body with two strips of pine running down the middile like on your neck thru and a quillted maple top so do you know were i can get the quillted maple CHEEP!!! and do you think than my idear of woods and design is a good idear? your the expert : )

Cool man, your guitar sounds like it's gonna rock!. Your wood choices sound good. Maple, mahogany, Wenge and purpleheart are a few common neck woods, and a lighter wood like Alder, Ash and Walnut make good side wings along with Mahogany as well. However it's allways fun to experiment = ). You can find awesome quilted maple wood for tops on e-bay, just check often. Best of luck with your build.
