NYC was a beautiful place. The excitement began as we approached the Lincoln Tunnel, as we turned a corner Mid-Town was exposed. Entering the Lincoln Tunnel was a breathtaking experience. As the guide announced, "This is the New York City and New Jersey Border. Welcome to The Big Apple" we all started to applause. We dropped off near Times Square at around 12 pm. The First store we went to was Toy's R' Us, it was 4 stories high and had a ferris wheel inside! It was packed shoulder to shoulder of shoppers so we left and went were I have wanted to go a long time, American Eagle NYC. That as well was 4 stories high. I bought a winter hat, texting gloves and two shirts...as well as a pair of red and black plaid slippers. The cost of that must be kept a secret! =D We visited other stores like, The Hershey Store, The M&M Store, The Disney Store, and Abercrombie and Fitch. Later that night we went on a light tour. We saw things like where Madonna and the mayor live. We had a stop at the well known Lord and Taylor's. That was a very expensive store, one fur coat was $13,995.00 which is the most expensive piece of clothing I have ever laid eyes on...It was a Ben Kahn. I've seen stores I have only heard of but are only in places like NYC and Paris and stuff, like Prada, Gucci, Loius Vetton, and other places. I even got to see Trump Towers! We had dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner. The employee's have to AUDITION for the jobs, they are required to sing and serve which you will see in Part II. If you ever want to go on vacation NYC is The Place to go!
What an awesome diner!!! I bet you & Mom really enjoyed yourselves there.
