  • @AviorBlitz He also wanted to help keep Watson's reputation from being hurt, as Watson was the doctor who had pronounced Blackwood dead.

  • @AviorBlitz I agree with this comment. Plus, remember, Holmes was in sort of a slump in the beginning of the movie, with his name already being hurt from inactivity. The last thing he needs is his last major case to be folly.

  • @RushLimborg dun think so...Holmes hardly believes in anything superstitious and obviously after Blackwoods resuruction his ideologies and reputation was at stake...so this was a case he took personal......Besides Holmes admits to the Lord after he was arrested that he "deduces so little from his case" and that he deduced his tie with blackwood from his clothes.>>>>>NO OFFENCE thats wat I Felt

  • @MrsBiala

Yep. My guess is, Holmes refued their offer because he deduced at that moment that Coward was working with Blackwood--and therefore, his "assistance" would throw him off the track.

  • NOT for you. And certanly NOT for a price!

  • @alsnes you spelt 'superb' wrong.
