Not really, people made careers out of vaudeville and satire, which is pretty much the old-school form of a comedian. Ever heard of Jonathan Swift or Mark Twain? That's essentially was what they were doing.

Everything he says is true. I'm 26 and I feel old because of how impatient, uneducated, and celebrity obsessed we are. It's odd to be young and feel "wow, you don't know how good you have it."
