@alsklaftsk123 If you are just starting out bass I don't see that it will make a difference since it will be just as challenging getting your hands to do what you want regardless if you have 4, 5 or 6 strings. If you are switching over from guitar I can say from my own experience, 6 string is not hard to get used to. I just got my 6 and I love it way more than 4, especially the high C string. I say go for it, I don't regret it as my first bass and I can't put the thing down.
