an actor prepares ... Shaktim ... The Hamlet of YouTube
So what I write below is my way of trying to bridge the gap of 'rendering' and 'analyzing'.
in this TAKE, I have realized much of my ideas about asking the 'what' to infuse the thoughts in between the lines with a motion forward, instead of a dead, empty stare. Film acting is a wonderful gift ... especially for an actor who is truly capable of sifting through the playback with a keen eye for remembering what appears to work and what does not. Some of it seems like eye trickery even... but I suppose I am getting into the directing side of the work, since usually I would not have the comfort of editing angles as an actor on a set... but working on your own offers this unique ability to get down to the nuts and bolts, which I believe is bringing me closer to the ideas that Stanislavski revered ... being in the moment. This one represents a hit out of the park !
