Lecha Dodi itself is a beautiful prayer to welcome Shabbat as if it were a bride. Its authorship is from the Kabbalists of Tzfat (I mean the real Kabbalists, not the fake Hollywood Kabbalists). I woulnd't be shocked if Leonard Cohen was working from similar inspirations when he wrote "Hallelujah" as the authors of this prayer.
