I agree full heartedly. My choir (John Jay High School, San Antonio, Texas YAYTEXAS) is performing this for UIL this year. The hardest part we have is Laudaute Dominum Laudaute Dominum Laudaute Dominum Laudaute Dominum because its just so fast. But anyway, I agree with their dynamics. It's the hardest part to get down in this song. But it's nice to hear a song like this be sung by highschools :)

We performed this a few months back, and God it was hell. Possibly the hardest song I've had to learn so far.

@JacolynOWNS ... I agree. My choir (S. H. Rider High School, Wichita Falls, Texas) performed "Psalmo 150" in '96-'97 under the direction of Robin Mikalunas. Our vowels were all properly elongated, as they are in Latin. This Bel Canto rendition sounds pathetically Americanized, especially the "ih" sound instead of the "ee" for all i-vowels. Also, "laudate" should sound like "la-oo-da-te" instead of "law-da-te." Props to Bel Canto's director, though, for not tearing through it at break-neck speed!

The tenors sound very young, which means they aren't elongating their vowels as they should. All of the la la las sound american, while the latin sounds... well latin lol.
