Modlab recently finished an assembly program for the Factory Floor system on the Willow Garage PR-2. It uses standardized nodes and trusses, some of which are partially assembled when passed to the robot. It is able to accept commands to accomplish any given assembly, and automatically raises or lowers to suit the path best.
Future applications will include concurrent assembly on both hands, and assembly using CCL, a stochastic programming package.
