If I may, I would like to share a little bit of personal history that I have for the Count Basie Theater. I sat here and watched the TLV and seeing inside from the balcony down to the stage, GOD....how it brought back memories for me. When I was attached to the theater, it was a movie theater and her name was the Carlton. My Father (Who has long since passed on) was the theater manager there in the early 1970's. The Basie show is a special benefit for The Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County and is sponsered by the Asbury Park Press.

If you'll remember, there was heavy snowfall that day and I had to tend to shoveling for my parents in North Jersey. So regrettably, I wasn't able to take this show in but did catch Boz three days later in Englewood. I will keep an eye on the schedule as I certainly want to add the Basie to list of venues I've experienced.
