Bear River. Petoskey, MI. After the initial carnage came the task of watercraft recovery. Strategically positioned on each side of the river, Doug & Chris had a plan to recover their less than seaworthy craft. Doug, on the East side of the river, was charged with freeing the snarled vessels from the Herculean grip of the Bear River. Seemingly, his kayak was wrested from the riptide with relative ease. So much ease in fact, that he had ample time to converse with one of the local master kayakers.
But wait! Look at the distance between the orange-ish kayak and the side-tumbled green canoe downriver. That, gentlemen, is all I can add to this discussion. Let the debate begin as to how a hole "this big" ended up in the green canoe.
