I'm pretty sure that lactic acid is a bi-product of anaerobic cellular respiration that influences *delayed* muscle soreness. There really isn't any acid to speak of in the muscles immediately after a set, or even 3 or 5. Aside from that, though, it sounds like an interesting tip I'll have to try.

It is a bent over lateral raise, or bent over dumbbell fly, it's the same move just a different name.

The workouts can stay the same, what's going to determine if you gain weight or lose weight is your diet and cardio. If you need help with this I have a good program called "Extreme Fat Loss" that you can get on my website LeeHayward. com/dvd

@OOHSLAX25 if you're are new to lifting you're fine, just keep at it and eat a lot of good food and you will get stronger

@OOHSLAX25 don't think it's to low if you put your focus on bench you'll go up over time, en of my tenth grade year which is similar age to you then I only got up 155 I weight like 130 prob I'm in my senior year now and got up 245 last Friday my body weight is now 148, good job wih what you have so far just remember higher weight low reps for strength build and do tricep workouts too!

@OOHSLAX25 I mean your light weight and only 15 don't feel like its but just keep working at it end of my tenth grade year I was only doing 155.. I think that's similar age range of you I'm in y senior year I weigh 148 now and got 245 up last Friday just work for what ever your goal is man good job at what you have so far

Im 15 and weigh 137, and i can only bench 125 including the bar, and i feel like i should be able to lift heavier than that, we recently maxed out for football and i couldnt bench with one 45 on each end so i know 125 is my max, is this a bad thing? Or is it the right range for me

@leemhayward Wow , great ! I normally lift on bench press 115kg but thats nothing id like to lift at least 120-130kg.

Yes, it will help you get more reps and feel stronger during your bench press sets.
