http://www.knme.org - Traditionally Zuni Pueblo has been known for its fine pottery and silver work. This film documents the landmark A:shiwi A:wan/Belonging to the Zuni painting exhibition that showed for the first time the excellence and beauty of Zuni Painting. Featured are the Zuni painters exhibited in this exhibition, discussing their inspirations and their devotion to their culture.

  • @RIPCraigjackson Why would you disrespect another culture just because they are not your own culture? To call another group of people names to degrade them is the ultimate sign of disrespect and it'll come back to you in life. I'm pretty sure someone could pick your imperfections apart and make you look like a fool also. Why not be happy for what people are doing to keep their culture going instead of making a mockery of it. You are the problem and not the solution.,

  • i am zuni and i am proud of it but the katchinas are sacret to us and when we have a night dance its not like a navajo pow wow we have to go through a lot of pain to dance as a katchina and only the men dance not women navajos are qweers who dance and dont have to go through pain they dont have a pueblo or real relegion zunis are respected people and not bums like navajos

  • Very informative! Beautiful artwork. I drove through Zuni on my way to El Morro National Monument last year. Will be stopping for a visit in Zuni next time.

  • I was once a student of Alex Seowtewa, he is an excellent teacher, the pride in him is great.. I appreciate the the beautiful artistry, gives me great pride to be part of the Zuni People.
