Brilliant. I reckon Dan plays in open C a lot, I've got as far as figuring out that for a few of his tunes, but my knowledge and skill let's me down from there. Great to see you have worked out the whole song.
Any chance of sharing the chords with us? I'd love to learn this one.
Cheers

Dropped in again Malcolm for another listen to this...you play and sing this brilliantly.
And because this definitely matches the tones, it implies it must be in open C as you did it, along with what you said about his fretting on the video. -Ian

@ianmcgeachy Many thanks, Ian! This is one of the ones I would like to actually re-do as it feels a bit rough to me, and I had just learned it at the time. It's funny to go back and look at how one's playing of tunes evolves over time. Malcolm

*Very tasty* cover Malcolm....Tell me..do you *know* he plays this in openC? -There's less info around on Dan than JohnMartyn-at least in his playing. Also-did you work this out yourself ? Its pretty close in tonality 99% wise I reckon. Theres a few videos of Dan around (playing in Ripon for one)-could take a look at his fretting postions to see if sane as yours. I'm interested in Dans stuff also. Excellent playing in my book-Ian

@ianmcgeachy Glad you liked it! I do not 'know' for definite that this is in Open C, just worked out what sounded right both from the CD and also from a couple of vids of him playing it live on YouTube (ie that he seemed to be capo'd on first fret and some of the chord shapes). Seemed to be about right I think.
