BBC Radio 1Xtra - It's Grime Up North - The Projekt Freestyle

The Projekt from Byker, Newcastle-upon-Tyne with their freestyle for upcoming BBC Radio 1 documentary It's Grime Up North presented by Charlie Sloth.

Charlie Sloth has been on a road-trip to find the hottest rappers up North and try to understand why rap music in the U.K is dominated by the London scene. He's travelled from Newcastle to Liverpool, Manchester to Sheffield, Huddersfield to Leeds - spent time in boxing gyms with aspiring MC's, and met feared battle-rappers working the night-shift in Morrisons. From rap to grime to bassline to house; this is the story of the MC scene in the North of England right now.



It's Grime Up North is available to watch and hear across 1Xtra and 1Xtra online from 9pm on Sunday 18th December 2011; and if for any reason you miss it, you'll be able to watch it on your TV via the Red Button at 10pm the same night.



It's Grime Up North is Radio 1 and 1Xtra's first multi-platform documentary which means you can choose to watch or listen across the Radio, TV and Online.
