Anybody ever tried the front ski an a fatty paddle tire in back? Probably not enough surface area for floatation on the snow... but it would be cheaper...
I have to say that is sure is nice to see new technology emerging. But there is still much need for refinement in the designs though.
On soft(particular) snow, the machines work well, but if you have the misfortune of riding on hard snow, then its not so fun anymore. Unfortunately... the bike seems limited to specific terrain(unlike a snowmobile), as the ride looses much of it's stability and latitude on harder surfaces.
Still, this is a great idea, and I can't wait to see things improve.

im concern about engine temp, does it reaching right- work temp? maybe closing one radiator... have u thought about it?
