  • I came from the Kuratsa country-SAMAR. That is not the way to start a Kuratsa. You have used the Kuratsa Visaya music researched by FR Aquino- aversion from Tacloban City. It was not the way it was danced. Nice try. Your tapis was also like a short skirt, ngyee!

  • We are not professional dancers like those of the Bayaniha... It is a mere interpretative dance for purpose of intermission. I come from Ormoc City, and our movements is an adaptation. Even professional dancers divert into their own version out of expression. By the way, thanks for the rude comment on our costume, it is the closest thing we have in hand for the intermission. Unless it is a contest, then we would have tried out best to best fit the most appropriate costume.

Hi, the name of the dance is Kuratsa, a dance native to the Waray region of Samar and Leyte.

  • Can anyone please help me and tell me what the name of this dance is? My fiancé and I want to dance it at our wedding?
