Hooked the car alarm to the wrong wires... It does this even after disconnecting it. I originally just recorded this for a particular Grand Prix messaging board.

UPDATE: Thanks guys but I figured it

  • How about this, every piece of electronics comes with this nice little book in it, they tell you exactly what to do to hook said piece of electronic up correctly, it's called the instruction manual. Try reading it and follow the instructions and if you can't manage that, take you car to someone that knows what their doing b/c obviously you don't.

  • @adamslurch71 Now what kinda man would I be if I read the manual? :)

Actually, you can't install a car alarm without the manual for the wire colors. But the manual gives wire colors for the alarm, not the specific car.

By that I mean it doesn't say "connect blue wire to brown", it's more like "connect blue wire to lights". It's up to the installer to figure out which wire does lights, because it's different in each car.

I just happened to get the wrong wire THREE YEARS AGO when I uploaded this.

  • id rewire it to the same location as the keyless entry, so that the keyless entry can work in conjunction with your alarm's remote so you only have to use 1 remote instead of 2.

  • The alarm remote lock/unlocks the doors just like the stock remote does. The wires for that feature run from the alarm box into the same wires that are used for my electric lock switch in the door.

  • its only a fuse lol

  • jst a fuse

  • @Awesomeman1987 I AGREEEEE

  • I know what this is. My sister had the same problem with her 87 RX7 until she got it fixed. It's the Alternator. Not enough power running to the whole car causes the electrical problems like that. Replace the alt and replace the belt. If that doesn't help, get a higher power alternator. That really should help.

  • @JMezzacappa Best come back ever! I'm serious actually.

  • Jesus... looks expensive.

  • You probably shot the wiring harness. My car was doing the same thing.
