Easy Recessed-Can CFL and LED Downlighting Retrofits

80 percent of existing buildings have lighting that was installed more than 20 years ago. This incredible figure along with an increase in green retrofiting opportunities lead to the industries first universal listed commercial retrofit downlight. Available with LED and CFL options, P-2's downlights offer energy savings for building upgrades. Award winning watts per square foot optics and a quick link socket cup for user friendly assembly. Installation is quick and easy and can all be done from below the ceiling.

6 Step Installation Process

Step 1: To begin, simply make the wire connections to complete the first step in this quick six step installation process.

Step 2: The second of six simple steps is to install the supply wires to the J box. Designed with the retrofitter in mind, these fixtures can also function as stand alone units. This means that it's listed to UL standards and is ready for immediate installation in energy efficient upgrades and to any existing apperture or new location.

Step 3: Third, snap the cover plate to complete the ballast assembly. A key feature is the modular design composed of individual distinct units that can be easily assembled.

Step 4: Install the housing into the apperture. It's important to note that all housings fit most competitive products. Additionally, a 5 access toolless J box takes the guess work out of avoiding obstacles above the ceiling. Here, you can see just how flexible the orientation of the J box is. It includes 5 access points and an arm that allows for full range of movement. With this adjustment capability, it would be hard to find an application where the J box won't fit.

Step 5: To secure the housing in the ceiling, install retaining slide bars and tighten down firmly with a phillips head screwdriver.

Step 6: Install reflector using the quick link socket cup for easy assembly. With award winning watts per square foot optics, this product complies with the strictest "ASHRAE" standards and can also qualify for ARRA stimulus projects or LEED retrofits. You're done. In less than 5 minutes, you could install a product that is a great solution for retrofit products while adding unparalleled optical value to the application.

Designed for retrofit projects, P-2's downlights are an easy and cost effective way to upgrade existing spaces. And its universal configuration is simple to specify as a better alternative to self-ballasted and compact flourescent lamps.

  • Cancel that, each step is like a minute long and tells you nothing, just promotes their lighting units while some derp derps around with cables without actually showing you what he's really derping with. Find a better video if you're looking for DIY info fast.

  • Too much yapping in the intro, skip to 1:05 for actual video start, but expect HUGE gaps of lag between slides.
