Elvis wanted to be on Laugh-In. He wanted to do the bit at the very end; riding around on the tricycle, in full costume, then falling over and having the camera zoom in and show that it was really him. The Colonel wouldn't let him do it, though. Too bad; we'd still be laughing about it.
