Brian Robertson 2005 - bit ring rusty but he can still play. apart from 1 note in this sequence its crisp guitar playing. By far my favourite guitarist. something he has that nobody can replicate.

  • In his day Brian Robertson was the best Lead guitar player in heavy rock...hands down...no-one and i mean NO-ONE came close...he has an amazing talent..listen to EMERALD the live version on Thin Lizzy's 'Live and Dangerous' OMFG what an animal guitar player...

  • Brian Robertson, THE perfect foil for Scott Gorhams smooth melodic guitar licks. Robbo had a more on the edge, potentially over the edge furious tone and quality yet with a perfect ear for harmony (which is why Motorhead never understood him) A much underrated gem.

  • @fletchdrums111 Ok, at least we agree on it being a classic LP -but how do you account for the film footage -which i always assumed were the same bunch of concerts ? Tony visconti took to laying in to marc bolan as well....maybe he is just bitter about somthing ....even if what he says is correct {and almost all live LPs have fiddling} The concerts dvd proves what a kick arse live band lizzy were - seems odd that the proof is in front of our eyes and yet the claim is contrary.

  • @TheMichaelseymour ...how can it be the greatest live LP ever if it's not live; Visconti states that is 75% studio, so the 25% is Downey live. It's a briiliant time piece, one of my favourites, but the categorical imperative can to be questioned here? A classic album, no doubt and this does not spoil my joy of listening to it again and again but it disqualifies itself from being the best live album of all time on a slight technicality, namely it not live.

  • @fletcherman1 Does that even matter ? ....when you get the result of the greatest live LP ever ? ?They achieved a kick that they had never had before ...actually , the production on the LPs is also somthing i have come to like . It sounds like a lot of 70s rock -and represents the time frame .

  • @zealberg The only live thing on that album are the drums...the rest is entirely overdubbed in the studio...sorry...Tony Visconti explains all in his book..

  • @zealberg you forgot about scott gorham?

  • hey !!reply back if brian robertson has a channel

  • sorry I love Sykes play this song more.

  • @katesdan You are just talking meaningless shite now. "More alike than different" jesus wept. Mother Theresa & Peter Sutcliffe are both human beings & so more alike than different what the fuck does that prove?

And well done for realising the importance of blues music but I fail to see how that is in any way relevant to my opinion of Gary Moore

Stop trolling like a dick and just accept that other peoples opinions although different from yours are equally valid.

    I repeat. Gary Moore'ds a twat.

  • @ShoeiBoy Man Moore and robbo are more alike than differen.as for the blues if it didnt happen most rock bands might not have been here.
