I just always loved that Jack could be so irritated by Daniel at times (but when wasn't he irritated by the things his team did at times?), but how he demonstrated such a fierce protection and caring for Daniel. Jack seemed to care about Daniel like a son, but could be so crochety at times that he couldn't conceal his annoyance for things Daniel says. I tear up over the final scene in "Revelations" when Jack finally copes with Daniel's death when the strong gust of wind blows past him.
