This happened November 22 , 1992, a category 4 (max. wind speeds 207-260 mph) tornado killed one person and injured 10 people and caused between $500,000 and $5,000,000 in damages. Damage info from: http://www.city-data.com/city/Sparta-Kentucky.html#ixzz0kYP9ORoz

I was going through all of my VHS tapes and putting them on DVD and ran across this. It was filmed by Barb, Donnie, Billy, & Marty King. They lived on HWY 184 at the time. I use to work for Barb at Dan's Restaurant and she gave me this tape to put online. Barb died June 28, 2009. She will be missed.

  • if this had been an actual tornado a f4 as you put it there would be nothing left of that county this was a result of straight line wind,s your video showed a funnel cloud not a tornado

  • @jimmy34085 Well I hate to tell you this but you are wrong lol. It was an F4. Google it and you'll see. The F4 Tornado happened 11/22/1992 in Gallatin County Kentucky. I tried posting the link here but youtube won't let me

  • No such county in Tennessee, its Sumner County, Gallatin, TN

  • @caindabomb Oh. South of Cincinatti? That's cool, I've got a sister, brother-in-law and niece who live in Frankfort. Which would be about an hour or two from Cincinatti Ohio.

  • correction on that last post when u first seen it it was a funnel cloud and the kid was right regardless seek shelter dont wait as u seen what happen

  • anytime it is in the air it is not a tornado it is a funnel cloud it does not become a tornado till it hits the ground and stays there

  • I remember that very well. This is the first video that I've seen of that storm.
