Okay.. it needs a bigger fly. Or less power to the drive train. I'm afraid it just looks too violent in its action to me.

very nice to see another Gravity escapement clock.These are not very common.I have a Longcase reg. Gravity clock with the Thwaites version (only having one impusle side) and is 6 legged with no fly, seems that these were intened for the Regulater style longcases but I can't see the reason for this.

It really needs a fly! You could bifurcate the pendulum rod and extend the arbor backwards to carry a suitable fly.

There is a fly. The pendulum is set about an inch behind he back-plate and the crutch has a double right-angle bend so that a fly can be accommodated. This is 1/32 aluminum sheet about 4 inches long and 3/8 wide. It works just fine.
