@dallasfanb how are u gonna tell me i need to learn about the game. if u knew better u wouldnt need me to explain it but ima break it down because you obviously dont know. the title were meaningful because the best of the two teams in the league played. like now u can be a wildcard team and luck up and go to the superbowl. the two teams with the best record played and those games made legends. @dallasfanb plus on NFL network all they do is go back before the superbowl era. they mention players like auto graham and others. if you ask a older person who lived to see both eras they would tell u that back then the league was smaller but the league was playing real football. their favored players by the refs. the players were tougher. and the game was harder. wasnt such thing as unnecessary roughness put the cowboys up against the 60's eagles and play by their rules i bet they get killed

@dallasfanb if u pay attention to certain things like in superbowl XLIII b4 the game started they showed cardinal history and how theyre last championship win was in the 50's or 60's and they were talking about i think the packers championship win in the 60's last night either at halftime or before the game then they started talking about all their legendary players. and last year the eagles played in their 1960's NFL championship jerseys and they honored that team that beat lombardis packers

@eastsiderida100 Why don't you explaining why the titles back then was so meaningful to they game instead of saying "they still talk about" who is they? You literally have no case here or other wise you would have presented it. If the nfl was what is was back then right now it would be dead.

@eastsiderida100 They did not play 13 teams in the 60's. There was only 13 teams in the league. They played 8 & after the season they played the other team with the highest record. Those titles did help create the nfl too what it is today. Why try to compare two coaches from different eras? Bill Belichick probably would have been undefeated, but none of that really matters. Lamar Hunt and other guys like him are why the nfl is what it is, not because of meaningless title won back then.

@dallasfanb ok 13 teams OK i meant to say games. plus your kinda proving my point in the 60's they played 13 teams and right now we play 13 teams. we just play the divisional teams twice. and at the rate the 60's eagles were playing the divisonal games wouldve turned out well for them. and wtf u mean those title were meaningless...if thats the case then guess vince lombardi would be a lower ranked coach then bill belichick. thats not true because he won 2 SB AND 6 NFL champonships

@eastsiderida100 Plus Just because you play a 16 regular season game doesn't mean you play 16 teams. Learn the game if your going to act like you know what your talking about. you play your divisional opponents twice (6 games right there from 3 teams) two separate divisions (8 different teams right there) and two random teams (2 games right there) 13 teams in a 16 game season.

@eastsiderida100 Ok I can admit when I am wrong, They were the best of 10 teams in 48 & 49 not 8 even though they only played 8 teams. In 1960 they were the best of 13 teams even though they played the same 8 teams, nothing spectacular. The conference got bigger & they got weaker. Pre-titles means nothing. The merger made the nfl what it is today. To win those title they had to have the best record in the season. At the end they played one game for the title. No playoffs = meaningless "titles".
