@rowanmark21 We like the guy with the top hat!

Why is that other guitarist acting like such a goofball? That really detracts from this great video of this song.

I agree with badloser about this band being one of the most underrated bands. I especially remember it's words since this song came out at the same time my first girl friend (Jane Mckinley) from 1000 oaks, California broke up with me. This song still tears my heart out. Once a fool always a fool.

@Themanwhocameback2 High maybe, but they still managed to sync in perfect time! A gorgeous song by any standard, even 46 years later...

@Themanwhocameback2 So you figured this all out on your own, Einstein? Thanks for sharing.

one of the best songs ever.shame about the wanker in the top hat.
The part of this song when the full orchestra bursts in is one of the most moving and exhilarating moments in rock n' roll from one of the most underrated bands. Who could write pop of this quality now? Sadly, no-one.

The finest part of the video is 3:11 onward, when it's just the drummer and John in focus, and the two of them are so into the song, one playing the drums, his hair swinging in time, and, ah, there is youth, the sense of being in the moment and that this moment will carry you into a bright future, full of more times like this; and John, bearing down on the words, pious and earnest and warm and ripe with the promise of love and its attendant peace. Yes, there was youth....
