  • @koukides666 its such beautiful music...how can you be using such words as "bitch"? in the comments...

  • What is wrong with claiming to understand Scriabin? This music cannot be interpreted better, only differently...

Rachmaninov said Horowitz played his 3rd. concerto better than himself. Horowitz was just 10 or 11 years old when Scriabin died... I guess Scriabin would have hailed Horowtiz' Scriabin if he had lived to listen! We know Scriabin really appreciated Feinberg's and Goldenweiser's interpretations.

    AND PLEASE, NO FOUL LANGUAGE!

  • fckn awsome singing tone bitches!!

  • what a wonderful piece. so many different colours, such amazing dynamics. it sounds like a dream, the piece really takes you away. the high notes are so fragile, the piece really lives, breathes and moves, I think it is amazingly well composed.

  • @starwalker6798, two things to point out. Scriabin did hear Horowitz in his lifetime - Horowitz was interviewed on the subject; also check the Faubion Bowers bio of Scriabin.

Regarding Rach 3 - have to contest that. HOROWITZ said that Rach said that Horowitz played it better. No one else can substantiate it....

  • its slow - as its supposed be played. horowitz truly understands this piece we can tell.

  • Interesting to note that when they were in Russia it was Scriabin who was known as the pianist, not Rachmaninov. Then Scriabin injured his hand practising the etude(prelude?) in ninths and so Rachmninov inherited the mantle.

  • @koukides666 on the grounds of your thinking we shouldn't even dare to play/criticize music composed by others than ourselves. music is there to be played, savoured, loved, hated, never ignored nor left unplayed.

  • @Starwalker6978 AFAIK Skrjabin DID listen Horowitz playing his music once, and declared himself delighted by his interpretation, he only remarked that Horowitz "needed more practice".

  • This is simply magical. Horowitz completely identified with the complex and elusive sound world of Scriabin.

  • @koukides666 u mad.

  • This is exquisite playing. Wonderful interpretation.
