@kaix69 I didn't want to make any discrimination, I know the fights of Aragonia,Andalusia, Madrid( the only region of Central Spain), Galicia and Basque Country Franco's Fascism instead of Catalonia.

In my opinion ,the ideal community was anarchist Catalunya during the Spanish Revolution. Barcelona was a town where the working class was in the saddle. every building of any size had been seized by the workers and was draped with red flags or with the red and black flag of the Anarchists.

@kaix69 So you can understand that Catalunya is a region where many innovative, revolutionary and radical movements were developed before and after the beginning of 20 Century.Many of movements were credible and reliable opposing Stalinism and dictatorship of the proletariat. Two typical examples are CNT and POUM.

Many left socialist parties and unions of Popular Front were developed in Catalunya like UGT, ERC,CNT.

Also, in my opinion its unfair to correlate fascism with left separatism.

@pitelis in fact, you can look for the party that has recently won in cataluña, CiU, an see what im trying to explain.

and related to their fights during the civil war, they died as other many people in madrid, andalucia, valencia, basque country or whatever, the difference is that they keep on fighting when the war was almost lost, which i agree diserves homage of course.

@pitelis after madrid and valencia, barcelona was, of course, the last capital of the II republic. it wasnt my intention to put catalans on the same level with fascist; all i wanted to stress is the fact that under the independendent movement of cataluña, which has existed for many centuries, there is a nacionalist feeling, the same as monarchy supporters could have. i think that whether supporting a republic or a monarchy, nacionalism is still something disgrateful.

Do you remember the last capital of Second Spanish Republic(1937-1939)?

I think its a disgrace to call Catalunya a fascist region. Contrary to you, I believe that Catalans are the strongest opponents of Fascism and Racism. Unfortunately the last years some fascists use the independence in order to promote their nasty beliefs.

But I think we have to show homage to Catalunya, because they fought bravely against Franco's National Faction and for the labor rights of Spaniards(CNT).

@pitelis barça players don't support an hypothetical Spanish Republic; they are as nacionalist as stupid and patriotic fascists from our country, but the difference is that they want Cataluña independenced from Spain.
