Brooklyn experimental pop act School of Seven Bells sympathize with the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoe at George W. Bush. They have been wanting to give him the boot for some time. • actually, YOU are clueless. we did invade iraq for absolutely no reason. bush said it was for weapons of mass destruction, and for al queida, but al quieda has never had a tie to iraq. and there were no weapons of mass destruction. in late 2002 in a press conference condalisa rise said that iraq was a threat to us, then a year later they are the largest threat in the world. THERE WAS NO REASON TO INVAD IRAQ. so you get your facts straight. that war is absolutely money driven.

  • Funny, because everything you just said is what Colin Powell said at the UN...maybe you are the one who has to dig a bit deeper. The reason we know he had these weapons is because we gave them to him in the 80's (namely a certain Donald Rumsfeld). The convoy from the photos you spoke about was found and actually turned out to be a mobile weather tracker.

  • Oh, and I did buy their first album before I was unfortunate enough to stumble on this video but I won't be buying anything else. Throwing shoes at anyone, in any country is juvenile. Supporting such infantile behavior is equally juvenile.

  • That is why you get people saying "shut up and sing" because it's all one sided and they never have anything substantial to add to the discussion - just schoolyard insults. Comment got cut off.

  • I wonder if Reckonernumbers would feel the same way if these two criticized the Iraqi shoe thrower (who, by the way, is not fond of the current president either). What bothers me so much is that these celebrities (for lack of a better all-inclusive term) never have anything intelligent or new to say. Another thing that bothers me is that the vast majority are all liberal. That is why you get people saying "shut up and sing" because it's all one sided and they never have anything substantial to

  • I'm not known for eagerly sitting down to listen to musicians'm opinions on anything other than music, but it still makes me chuckle to see the vitriol with which so many people react to a musician daring to voice an opinion on current affairs. See some of the comments below.

  • Yadda yadda! Shut up and play. What the fuck do you chicks know? Just bash Bush. Why? Because it's hip to do so. I hope you love our new prez because if you don't, you'll HAVE to shut up or be called a racist.

  • Leave all that stuff for 'other's' to worry about - stick with trying to come up with a song to better 'Half Asleep' - then the world will take notice of you Guy's!!

  • oh god, leave them alone they arent militants just damn good musicians!

  • Just play music. Your political views are just not that interesting. Sorry.

  • god look how boring they are
