Cenk, you said "no one has proposed national health care." Perhaps you have been living in a cave? Obama has repeatedly stated that his ultimate goal is the "Single Payer Government health care system."

Obama has also lied publicly (posted to YouTube) in his statement that his plan will "make health care premiums go down by 3000%" (I'm thinking that he failed basic math).

The bottom line is that the people have been lied to, and they are justifieably angry.

If we had a public option for healthcare in the US I would take it in a heartbeat, instead I have to play a gambling game with overpriced insurance companies whose motivation is maximizing their own profits rather than my health

Government is bad!! More power to corporations whos incentive is to make money and not create jobs. Please allow corporations to outsource every job overseas. Please lower taxes for all corporations and lessen government regulations on banks and wall street. Please give health insurance companies the right to not pay my claims. Lesser government the better. Please privatize the police, and fire dept also so they may see if its finacially profitable to save a life.
