Congressman Don Manzullo (R-IL) tells the CEOs of Ford, Chrysler and GM they must look beyond their short-term needs and employ programs to increase the demand for their vehicles if they expect to survive. Manzullo's comments came during the House Financial Services Committee hearing examining the automakers requests for government assistance.
Remember, Donny Manzullo also represents a few of the outside workers from GM Janesville, WI and Ford in Chicago.

GM needs to stop making cars they want to sell and start making cars people want to buy.

It's not creating legitimate demand if you're bribing people into buying the cars. If demand is legitimate, people won't need bribes to buy. If I pay you to go on a date with me, and you do, does that mean you really like me?
