yet again, buckethead delivered someone awesome to open- another strange yet cool one man band!
this one sounded a bit of depeche mode and some other 80s industrial sounds, but while playing a TUBA.

i'm surprised at how good this guy was- he sings into the tuba and slaps it like a drum, runs samplers and drum beats all at once- gets a good layered grungy industrial noise going pretty fast and it rocks.

can't wait to listen to the album...

  • saw this guy last night opening for buckethead hes pretty sick got a little repetitive after the first couple of songs but def worth checking out

  • i saw him there too! awesome show...

i really like his music, he could use a slighly larger range of vocal distortions while singing but i think his songs are pretty individual... this was my second time seeing him, liked his new mini-mohawk :)

  • In my lifetime I never thought I'd ever be saying "Hey That Tuba Guy Rocked", but I did and he did. He opened for BH in KC, MO and the crowd there really got into his performance.

  • Yeah, this guy was pretty cool. Especially this opening song. I wish I could find a good studio version of the this song. It reminded me of some kind of Roman war march. Wolff did get a little repetitive, but that's ok. He had some really impressive sounds, and creativity. Buckethead just keeps finding these cool and unique opening acts.

  • I can't wait to see this guy on sunday in omaha

  • i know. I was wearing a really baggy sweatshirt and had a cup of soda, and even from back were i was at the time, i could feel all of my guts shakin around in me with every incredibly deep note...

  • Yeah, it did get boring.

We were in the front row, the Tuba about blew our Buckets off our heads

  • It was on the front of his...Sound mixer thing?

I dunno, the first 2 songs were good, but he got kinda boring.

Eventually, I just wanted to hear BH.

And if you were close enough, the Tuba rocked your spine.

  • did this guy even say his name? if he did, I didn't hear it. I really liked his playing though! People kept scvreaming for buckethead after every song he played....

  • he was funny he kept making the audiance w8 lol

  • when he would hit the really low notes it felt like he blew out my eardrums
