Mark's Failed River Crossing At Brunswick 15th AUGUST 2009

This was the second river crossing of the day , we were trying to get to Brunswick Junction for some spare parts for Mikes yellow Cruiser . The 1HZ Diesel engine sucked in water and Hydraulic locked . After removing all glow plugs , Mark found Number 3 Cylinder still full of water and the engine had locked solid.

Distributors need to spark - submerge as here and your vehicle becomes a total loss (electronics alone see to that). If you don't have a snorkel kit, CREEP SLOWLY FORWARD SO YOU CAN REVERSE IF YOU NEED TO. Live and learn.

@KavePhish ..... Distributors , Spark , ON A DIESEL ...... HAHAHAHA .... the problem was that there was a big washout which Mark dropped into .... Deep enough to have water up the windscreen and into the Engine which had NO Snorkel ... the Video starts after the damage was done .

Yeah , Its a crossing that Mark has done alot of times ... Very unlucky ...... As you can tell from the Audio , Mark's U.H.F. radio was under water .
