My family came to America from Italy in search of a better life and found one in Detroit, MI. There are criminals everywhere I am not proud of them I am proud of the great country I live in. @Supermassively That is load of shit. Private sector has as much overhead and bureaucracy then the public sector. Healthcare is on of these rare thing that are best done in public sector. There can't be competition, the patient must always come first event if that is not profitable.

@XiCron2000 Yeah, mine has grown from a small mole into a half-inch mass of tissue in about a year, and it hurts when I put pressure on it or my clothes rub hard against it. It's not dark black, but there are "amelanotic" melanomas that are flesh-colored, and instead of being a flat blemish on the skin, it's a raised mass with irregular borders and coloration.

Not sure what it is, but I'm not too worried. Even if I did go to get it checked out, there's no way I'd be able to afford treatment.

@Supermassively I really must agree. Very rarely does something good come out of people suing eachother.

The signs vary depending on the cancer type apparently. But as a general rule when it comes to skin cancer: If the spot grows or hurts, then you should get it checked. (if possible) I'm no expert, so if you want to know more, I suggest that you google "malign melanoma".
