  • The reason why Napoleon made some restrictions to the Jews at first was strictly out of political reasons. In 1808, Alexander I of Russia convinced Napoleon to restrict the Jews freedom, in exchange, he will put pressure on Britain to end the war. Months later, he revoked those restrictions.

  • @expertstrategy Not at all his "antisemitic" remarks were made way before 1808.

  • @expertstrategy There are also some thesis by Jewish scholars who say that indeed Napoleon disliked Jews and by trying to incorporate them into France he tried to extinct them.

In any case, it is obvious that remarks such as "that the evils of the Jews sprang from the fundamental nature of this nation" are not remarks that point to a Judeo-philia. In the contrary the "freedoms" he gave to the Jews in my opinion were of a political nature giving situation in Europe(money also is a point)

  • @SuperGian82

    Napoleon isn't great for that...

Even without Napoleon, Britain could never beat France without the "help" of the rest of Europe (it was more than "help", because their allies did all the work at the place of the British, especially Russia, Austria and Prussia).

And Britain alone NEVER won a single war against an other European country.

The only wars they won alone were the colonial wars against primitive tribes.

  • 5 shots per minute my arse! Haha, that's a fucking determined shooter.

  • 09:55 Nobody had done anything like it?

Alexander used the same trick when crossing the Hydaspes river, but i'm sure this tactic has been used before Napoleon.

  • @boss180888 "there is nothing about america or britain to this day that you haven't...at lack of a better word, COPIED from france!"

No, no, you're doing this all wrong.

First, everybody is ultimately copying from somebody else, so nobody cares.

Second, boasting about the past is for losers. If you're going to brag, brag about how you're better TODAY, not about how people copied you in the past.

  • @1999521 "who has the upper hand" man are you kidding?there is nothing about america or britain to this day that you haven't...at lack of a better word, COPIED from france!

even your own language is 40% FRENCH, if you are christians is because of FRANCE, military tradition of ALL western countries bases itself on the model set by the romans and posteriorly by the FRENCH. usa constitution is based on ideas of FRENCH filosophers, US independence and british inclusion in european culture is FRENCH!

  • lol so soldier whip it out and pee in weapon in middle of fght? :D

  • @Napoleontas The wars in Spain and Russia where pointless and not justified in my opinion. In fact he lost everything cause of those two wars.

  • As long as Napoleon is in command, any British army trying to fight one on one, toe to toe with Napoleon on a field in Europe will be toast.

Not unless you have 100,000 extra Prussians ready to reinforce.

  • @1999521 you don't get his point, he means that the british never won any battles against any major power. They did win many naval battles but nothing on ground during those times. If you even think about it they really maid significant gains only against tribes and colonies on land but no big super power. They were always on the defensive in Europe really thats why they casted Napoleon to won of thier distant colonies AWAY from europe, so that he wouldn't interfere with their affairs.

  • @Freez57fr So if the british are so lame, how they take the most important french colonial possesions (India and Canada), how could they make english the most important language in the world, how could they conquer the biggest empire in history, and how could a british colony become the most powerful nation on earth?

I mean, come on!! I´m not british nor I am anti french, but open your eyes and see who has the upper hand.

  • @MrDeano324 what "british" victories? oh you mean the SPANISH guerrilla and the PRUSSIAN-anglo-dutch victory on belgium!
