This is my 1991 Camaro Z28 with 4" Mufflex exhaust system. I have Hooker (#2210) long tube headers, 3" pipes from the collectors into a Flowmaster merge Y-pipe out to 4", 4" over the axle into the Spintech muffler with 3" stainless steel dual outlets. This video does not do the sound justice. I used my video setting on my digital camera. I set out for a unique sound and I got it with this system. I was tired of hearing late model Camaros with Flowmasters (sound horrible, imho). Look on my other video for complete stats on the car. The big revs are up to 5200 rpm. There was a LOT of condensation in the pipes due to their large size. The car also likes to run very rich when it has not reached closed loop, and was nearly to operating temperature in this video. I tightened the blower belt and was running full boost in this video. More to come.

  • Damn dude that's insane. Check out my Trans Am WS6, I have a 4" mufflex w/ hooker LT's as well. Watch my walkaround clip, better sound quality :) Keep on drivin' man

  • Way better than any other exhaust system available for 3/4th gen f-bodies in my opinion. Nice car. I've always liked WS6's.

  • How did you get the clearance for 2210 Hookers. I was told by my performance shop that it would not fit??

  • They fit very nicely as a matter of fact. I have stock rubber motor mounts as well. I heard that if you switch to polyurethane mounts, you may run into issues. I had my performance shop of choice install mine and they said both of the headers went in from the bottom. they lifted the driver's side of the engine up to get that one in but the passenger side went in without a hitch. that side has a slip tube on the #8 cylinder that makes it easier. it does make changing the plugs hard though. lol.

  • were can i get one of these exhaust systems for my 3rd gen camaro

  • what kind of trans are you running in that thing??

  • Dude that exhaust is freakin nasty!!!!!!!! How many pounds of boast are running?

  • actually a 91 350 engine with a 4 inch exhaust causes loss of back pressure which could be causing the rich spray of smoke you see but it is more than likely a simple oil leak due to its ability to still rev up without sputtering or missing out due to coolant flooding if i were you try a valve job and then maybe a engine rebuild unless of course the tpi airflow sensor is bad causing the rich flooding :)

  • That sounds fantastic mate!

  • damn she sound like she mad never piss off a chevy sounds great

  • i think youre runnin a little rich.

  • *cough* *cough* *gasp*

Burnin a just a little oil or collant there??

  • how in the world did you get long tube headers on there i been trying to find a way but they keep hitting the firewall, got any hints msg me

  • U know how much exhaust is leaving that car when u see chunks of wood hitting the camera at :28 ......sweet car!
