i have a question. I am currently using a mac and i am starting to do a lot of recording. Mainly it is a voice recording. I am aware that garage band comes free with my mac. I just want to ask, for voice recording what is the difference in using garage band and logic studio and also which one gives of a better effect in terms of voice recording ?

@niken20 At a basic level there wouldn't be a lot of difference. You could start with Garage Band and then later use Logic Express or Logic Studio. Logic would give you effects etc such as reverbs. Start with Garage Band and see and any work you do in there if you move or need to move onto Logic you can import the Garage Band tracks

Hi, This is the wave of the future and is the best available at this time Logic Pro 9 and Mainstage 2. Work as well if not equal to anything Pro Tools has to offer. You can't beat this entire package for the price. the GIO is fantastic a definite (I'd Recommend it) be careful of CPU usage get midi monitor it's free. Follow ALL bewares or cautions such as Be sure Time Machine, I-Chat and other programs are turned off. This is a system that is fabtastic. E-mail any ? anytime.. this is the way....

that CX5 price is just for ONE monitor. i'm looking around that price for some monitors and i think i will got with the KRK RP5 G2. check them out.

@fitzyuk Thanks for that, I just noticed that myself the other day and was wondering why they priced them like that. I would have expected most people would buy a pair.
