I did it just by killing cows with my sword. Kill 1 cow and then run from mercenaries and then sleep till next morning. They will never be angry on you again xD Sure if you kill another cow they will again run for you xD

The ninja wizard way : learn Poison spell and use it on the cows, one by one. This spell has a very nice property that it does not alert anyone around, only the target. Unfortunately it also does not kill the cow immediately, so maybe you'll need to follow the fleeing cows and smack them with a fireball when they are enough far away, or wait for them to return and cast again.

@blendmode I can't help thinking it's because you're getting a one-shot on the cows. They probably die so quick that the AI doesn't alert anybody around the cows that something aggressive is happening.

@noodwow Guys, this is not my first attempt! :) I also used to get caught. I've been trying killing them with my bow from a distance but there was always someone to see me. So I got mad and said to myself "What the hell, let's use the sword!"... And it worked (of course I had to be a little bit sneaky). Then I thought it would be a good idea to post a video for others doing the same quest as I had a lot of trouble with it... And I started all over again :)) Good luck!

This quest took me ages I remember I got one of them but then? ALL of them ran away and never came back lol I eventually found them when I was going to clear out the cave behind the Thieves
