Dir en Grey - Lotus (Drum Cover)

Drum cover of Lotus by Dir en Grey. I used 4 microphones for this video rather than the usual 7. I did this because I didn't have enough microphones to put on every tom and the skins were sounding rather dead (no doubt because they are something like 2 years old).

The mic positioning is from the Glyn Johns technique.

BTW the heads are 2 years old? They barely look scratched!

@drumgroovy The hi-hat stand is actually only two-legged because I like to have other pedals like cowbells very close. A third leg often gets in the way. Because it's on carpet, it does tend to sway a lot. The black colour of the heads hides all of the scratches and wear haha.
