This is an experimental upload, to test my new Lumix FZ-100 camera. The moving images are in full1080p High Definition and I want to see how they look on YouTube, with a view to using this camera to film future book launch events etc. The only thing I notice is that there is a slight time lag in the autofocus catching up with the zoom, also that you can hear the zoom motor faintly on the sound track. Apart from that the results seem very good, especially as this was taken through glass with just the tank's own light providing illumination. The frogs are an aquatic species from the Congo, the African Dwarf Frog (Hymenochirus Boetgeri). Jean gave me the three of them as babies for my last birthday, so they're about nine months old and looking very healthy. They're about an inch and a quarter long, and their favourite food is blood worms, either live or frozen, which is what they're eating here. They're quite tough and assertive little creatures, and will drive off fish many times their size.
