It's just a matter of time before Guitar Rig is mated to large, concert worthy rigs and combos. You download the sounds you want to a module or stomp box (or direct to the amp with a cable) then call them up on the ear splitting show equipment.
As it is now the computer can be connected to the PA system and a convincing guitar gig is possible.

@Darfaultner Ehhh, I geuss everyone has their preferences, and for recording, especially if it's just you, this would work, but I still rather have a physical setup for live, since you don't need a computer.

@THEREALMOSH2 Why not? Surely the guitar rig controller works fine and this is just another track on your DAW.
