I'm not a big Bobby Vinton fan but I love this song....brings me back to when I met my husband - we were young teens....such a romantic song. To whoever said they weren't fans of the Beatles and the Beach Boys - well I guess you could not be a fan but you cannot deny the influence the Beatles had on music and the world. As for the Beach Boys well they were and still are America's band and Brian Wilson a true musical genius.

@DimensionsofChange This was declared #1 on January 4, 1964. On February 1, 1964, some group from Liverpool, England hit #1 with I Want to Hold Your Hand. That group was The Beatles and that is a day that forever changed the music industry.

The year 1964 begins with this song by Bobby Vinton at #1. Not a bad way to start the year. However, there was something on the horizon; something that would shake the music world to its core. In other words, the music industry was about to get ROCKED! (The British Are Coming. The British Are Coming).
