Mikheil Saakashvili, the president of Georgia declared September 1 as the day of unity of Georgia. Mikheil Saakashvili stated the following in his address held on Rustaveli square. This is how Tbilisi looked like today during `day of unity` event - `Stop Russia`. Georgian citizens standing in chain and holding each other's hands in almost every major streets in Tbilisi were best seen from helicopters.
Peaceful demonstration with the slogan STOP RUSSIA has begun in Tbilisi and other cities of Georgia earlier than it was scheduled. 1.5 million of people appeared to join the national protest against Russian occupation.
500 pigeons were flown in the air symbolizing peace on freedom square.

Live chain in Guria Samegrelo -
More than 20 000 Gurians have stood in chain to support unity and terrritorial integrity of country. Live chain was made in Samegrelo from Enguri bridge. Local residents gathered in Zugdidi and Senaki in support of Georgia.

Ajara joining the chain -
Live chain of people from Tbilisi continued in whole Georgia. Today people were standing in chain beside each other in Ajara as well.

Live chain of people in Gori -
Besides Tbilisi Russian aggressive politics was criticized in all big cities of Georgia. People stood in chain on those streets of Gori that were bombed by Russians according to the decision of Kremlin and Putin which resulted in killing of peaceful population

Protest chain in front of Russian embassy -
On Chavchavadze avenue chain had several directions and was headed to different directions in Vake, although the earliest Georgian protesters who made a live chain were standing in front of Russian embassy

Bell rings and prayers in the trinity church. In protesting chain members of trinity church and members of `Chokhosnebi` were involved. Starting from freedom's square protesting action against Kremlin generals and Putin's politics was going to end at trinity church

Live chain in new-York -
Georgian people and foreigners who protest Russian aggression in Georgia gathered in New-York city September 1st at 3:00 pm.

LIVE CHAIN was a symbol of Georgian unity and symbol that no matter how hard Russian brutal politics is trying to destroy Georgia we will win. Georgia doesn't have any artificially created so called republics. Apkhazia and south ossetia/samachablo is Georgia.
