IMPORTANT INFO HERE!
We do a lot of artists the request the chroma key background, I think because they import into video software that has chroma key features. With that being said, if you are just doing photo work, you will avoid many extra steps if you shoot subject on a Light Gray Seamless Background. Keeping it neutral will eliminate the color cast spillover into the subject area.

GREEN SCREEN SERIES--VIDEO #2
After you have created a selection to Layer Mask your subject on the Green Screen, there is often a Green Spill Cast that appears on skin, clothing or reflective jewelry. This video will show you a sure fire way to cancel out that cast!

  • i watched this vid now i am stuck with a red background now how do i get out of the red background and how do i change the back ground know , you just left off Now what??

  • Now what? Notice how the title says #2? There are about 10 more parts to this series. Just go to the channel and watch the Playlist. and go to #3, #4, etc

  • I definitely needed this video today since I've been working with a lot of images using the green screen. VERY helpful and I as well as everyone else appreciate the time you put into these videos.

I know you're "photoshopmama" but any chance of you doing tutorials for editing video from the green screen?

  • Not in the near future, but you never know what I'll get into in a few more years.

  • Hi Moma Shan,

I'm working on a picture I took with a white background, and I'm wondering if the color of the background makes any difference when following your tutorials. I keep hearing you mention 'green screen,' is this a backdrop that is used by photographers? I'm not familiar with it. I've been taking my pictures in my garage with a white sheet as a backdrop.

Love your tutotorials! I'm having so much fun learning from you.

    ~Sandy

  • White is fine, you won't have to deal with a color cast but if subject is wearing white--that makes it difficult for the separation. If someone were wearing green on a green screen that would make that difficult to. Idea is to set up shot with a background that contrasts with the subject colors for easiest separation.
