And like I said, this wasn't Venom. It was infact supposed to be Peter's dark double. That's not even an interperetation, that was Sam Raimi's intent. I can see that you're clearly a bandwaggoner though, so why argue?

@Andres9632 Cont.... So Eddie Brock, who acted like a nerdy, douchey prick (EXACTLY like Black-Suit Peter) the whole time, gets the symbiote at the end. He becomes even worse than Peter had been (since black-suit pete was like his normal behavior) and becomes the representation of the dark-side of Peter explored throughout the entire film. Peter fighting that is him conquering the evil that corrupted him.

Topher Grace was cast for this reason. He resembles Tobey Maguire.

@Andres9632 Well, first you've got to realize that the film is actually GOOD. Despite a few bitchy nitpicks that seem to be popular to throw at it. A movie isn't bad because of individual bad moments (even though I don't even consider them bad).

Ontop of that: Venom was supposed to represent the evil that corrupted Peter. Peter was a dick the whole movie, and Sandman was sympathetic. I'll elaborate more as I go on, as I don't have enough space.

@Andres9632 I'd actually say Venom is the only role I could see Sam Worthington doing good.

But either way, this character wasn't supposed to be Venom. It would've ruined the point if they had an accurate portrayal of comic Venom.
