turntable testing

Testing turntable. It would have been much easier if I had someone holding the camera as it was very difficult to do which is why there was a derailment and the locomotive moving too fast. Also I don't understand why the middle turntable section will not pick up any power unless it is connected to any of the 4 lines. It doesn't even pick up power on the running line.

Do you have any electrical connections to the rails on the turntable bridge other than the ends of the rails coming in?
