just a great example of the Newfoundland breed aka "The Gentle Giants".... and for those that don't know that Newfs are famous for water resuce of humans, I train my dogs to take my wrist and arm into their mouths, since that is how they save drowning humans...... Luv you Giz!

Newfs are "leaners" and are "mouthy" meaning they like to lead you around with in their mouth etc. They rescue people in the water and pull boats in using their mouths. They have very gentle mouths. One of mine walked around with a mouse in his mouth for heaven knows how long before I could tell he had something in there and I told him to spit it out and out ran this mouse he had been stalking all day.

Such an amazing animal, in the last few moments on the vid, it's almost like he senses something in the bushes and says to himself "I shall sit here and protect my master from this danger"

@oneperipatetic to be sure you are buying from a responsible breeder that screens for health problems and has the right to breed, you should be paying around $2000. If you really want a newf though......this is the way to go. Could you imagine a 150lb+ dog with hip and joint problems.......you'll be spending way more than $2000 on vet bills.

@oneperipatetic it would depend on if you are buying a show dog or pet....you would be looking between 1400-2400.....
