  • @canchaser59 hi, can you explain why refilling Shellac is not recommended? I'm new to it... ;) thanx

  • Ok, she lied it can be taken off at home you can use Acetone with cotton balls with foil to inhans the time and should only take no more than 2 min for french and five min color depending on how thick it it is. It has some gel base in it but not like axxium or acyriic. you can look on line for a MSDS shhet to find all the chemicals in it for free and you can put 1 color on top of another but each color has to be dryed first.

  • Shellac is a resin secreted by the female lac bug, on trees in the forests of India and Thailand. It is processed and sold as dry flakes (pictured at right), which are dissolved in denatured alcohol to make liquid shellac, which is used as a brush-on colorant, food glaze and wood finish. Shellac functions as a tough all-natural primer, sanding sealant, tannin-blocker, odour-blocker, stain, and high-gloss varnish. Shellac was once used in electrical applications as it possesses good insulation q

  • This woman has no clue if she says that you cant remove it at home.....you can you need acetone and cotton wool and foil wrapped round your fingers for 10-15 mins and it will come off.

  • I would love to know if it has as many chemicals as acrylics and if the gel is porous like other gels. Is it tested on animals?

  • Well first of all you CANNOT fill Shellac. You have to remove it and reapply the product. It also does not remove in 5 minutes. It takes 10 minutes to remove. Shellac is the best thing on the market for natural nail clients.

  • @DamnUniQue88 No, Im not blind! and 1 (out of date) bright color does not a fab line make....Gelish is wayyyyy better !

  • @GLAMAZONinc er you blind? I wouldn't call Tutti Frutti or tropix grandma colours ;-) I actually think the color they chose for the first shellac colours are great! And with layering you get more colours. But I also really look forward to the new colors in March!

  • 0:26 Wears like acrylic or gel, and has the longevity of a polish?

That's gotta be backwards or Shellac is TERRIBLE

  • to bad it only comes in grandma colors....
