@SillySantaHat I remember when I first listened the Cardigans in radio in the 90ties, the broadcaster saying that its musicians came from a heavy metal group, so you shouldn't be too much surprised :)

I remember buying the album just for Carnival but was amazed at the rest. It sounded very different from a lot of crap that was apparently the norm back in 1995-1996, and to this day I still listen to it regularly. Later they evolved into more mainstream music, but this first album made me feel like the fact they were so separated from the american continent gave them something special, something like being free from the boring standarization of the rest of the music world.

The funny thing about the Cardigans to me is that I only just found out about them about a year ago. I guess that isn't that funny, seeing it in writing. The song that turned me onto them was Losers. I heard it and just had to figure out who it was. The Cardigans? What the hell? Don't they sing that Lovefool song? Sure enough, it was the same Cardigans. Now I can't stop. Really. I think I'm sick. Coming from a huge metal fan, it must say something that I think their version of (cont.)
